Grease, one of the most iconic musical classics in the world, embarks on an exciting UK tour with an energetic new cast, electrifying dance routines and an incredible musical score which includes smash hits Summer Nights, Greased Lightnin’, Hopelessly Devoted to You and You’re the One That I Want. A show which explores the politics, emotions, friendships and complexities of adolescence, Grease has resonated with audiences for over forty years and this gritty new production will certainly appeal to a modern audience.
Originally opening in Chicago back in 1971, the first theatrical production of Grease went onto captivate audiences on Broadway and was also adapted into a popular feature film in 1978. This 2020 production, which is the first live showing of Grease in 25 years, is directed by The Curve’s Artistic Director Nikolai Foster and produced by Colin Ingram. Experience some summer lovin’ with this exciting new revival!
Grease follows the classic teenage love story of innocent, straight-laced Sandy Olsson and bad boy greaser Danny Zuko who, after enjoying a whirlwind summer romance together, coincidentally cross paths at Rydell High for senior year.
Although Sandy and Danny seem like polar opposites at first, finding themselves in completely different circles at highschool, the pair both change their ways in order to rekindle that summer flame. With other complex and intricate story-lines running in the background, Grease delves into the challenges and politics of high school life during 1950s America.
Ticket prices range from £13 to £72.50. The theatre is split into three sections: the Grand Circle the Circle and The Stalls.
The Stalls: this is the area of the theatre which is level and closest to the stage and includes some of the best seats in the house. Slightly cheaper seats can be found further back.
The Circle: this area of the auditorium is just above the stalls and there are some amazing views of the theatre, especially close to the balcony. Better value seats can be found further back.
The Grand Tier: The Grand Tier is just above the Circle and some of the best value tickets can be found here. While some of the seats have restricted viewing, you can still enjoy amazing views of the stage and an amazing theatrical experience.
If you are looking for better value tickets, the cheapest tickets can be found in the Grand Tier.
