From the winding streets of Diagon Alley to the echoing walls of the Great Hall, the Making of Harry Potter showcases all the sets featured in the motion picture! Plunge yourself into this mesmerising world and be utterly stupefied!

Creature Effects

You can also see how the magnificent creatures of Harry Potter were made with the incredible creature effects tour. Featuring our friends Aragog, Buckbeak, Goblin Heads and the Basilisk, you can really get up close and personal with the motion picture!

Props  

Discover how the creators of Harry Potter cleverly designed and put together the world of Harry Potter. An opportunity to see the props such as Umbridge’s office and the potions classroom up close and personal, experience the utter wizardry behind them!

  • Train: if you are travelling by train, then the closest station is Watford Junction and trains arrive there from London Euston and Birmingham New Street. 
  • Car: if you are travelling by car, then you can park free of charge in the free car park next to the Studio Tour. Please make sure you have your booking confirmation when you enter the car park. 
  • Bus Tour Packages : The Harry Potter Studio has a range of bus packages from London Kings Cross, London Victoria, Birmingham Coach Station and Birmingham New Street. 

From an Airport

  • London Luton: 17 miles

Access

Carers

There is one free carer ticket available for each paying disabled visitor which can be booked through the visitors team. However, please note that proof of entitlement is required. Please call the visitors service team on 0800 640 4550 or by emailing visitor.services@wbstudiotour.co.uk 

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome on the studio tour however dogs in training and other pets are not. 

Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs are welcome on the Studio Tour, however please let the studio know in advance if you are coming in a wheelchair as there is a cinema at the beginning with limited capacity. 

The studio is accessible for all wheelchairs but there are some areas, such as Diagon Alley, Great Hall’s slate, the Forbidden Forest and the nightbus are not easily accessible. Please call the access number for more details.

Parking

There are designated parking available and it is located next to the entrance, please book online. 

Guides & Assistance

There are digital guides, subtitles, audio assistance and a sensory rooms available to enhance your experience. 

Food and Drink

You can grab a bite to eat at the Frog Cafe, Hub Cafe and the Food Hall during your stay. 

Shopping

There is a Studio Shop available during your time slot or at the end of your visit as well as an online shop.

Covid Restrictions

Due to the new covid 19 restrictions, there are some new measures to take into account:

  • Prebook only: tickets must be purchased prior to your visit.
  • Temperature Checks: temperature checks will take place prior to entering the attraction 
  • Face coverings: all visitors ages 11 and over must wear a face covering. 
  • Social Distancing: the studio will be open with reduced capacity to ensure social distancing.  
  • Feeling Unwell: if you are not feeling well you can rebook your tickets 
  • Limited Experiences: there may be some experiences unavailable to ensure your safety. 
  • Cards not Cash: please use cashless payment throughout.

How much are tickets for the Harry Potter Studio?

Adult tickets cost £47, Child tickets cost £36 and there is also a family ticket available for £150. Ages between 0-4 go completely free

Are there places to eat and drink on the Harry Potter Studio Tour?

Yes, you can enjoy a bite to eat at the Frog Cafe, Hub Cafe and the Food Hall.  

Is the Harry Potter Studio Tour Wheelchair accessible?

All wheelchairs are allowed on the Harry Potter Studio Tour, however please note that the studio is not completely wheelchair accessible: areas such as Diagon Alley, Great Hall’s slate, the Forbidden Forest and the nightbus are harder to operate.  

How do you get to the Harry Potter Studio?

The Harry Potter Studio Tour is located near the Watford Junction train station and can be accessed from London Euston. There are also several buses oragnised by the Harry Potter Studio Tour from London Kings Cross, London Victoria, Birmingham Coach Station and Birmingham New Street. There is also parking available. 

Is there a cloakroom available?

Yes there is a cloakroom available, however it is currently not in use because of the corona virus pandemic.

Are there parent and baby facilities available at the Studio Tour?

Yes, there are baby changing facilities available and a private area for parents.  

Can I bring my own food on the Studio Tour?

You can bring your own food.
