After enjoying hugely successful sell-out runs on Broadway and in Dublin, Olivier-Award-winning Fishmable and Sebastian Barry’s critically acclaimed production On Blueberry Hill comes to London’s Trafalgar Studios. Captivating audiences both in Ireland and over the pond, On Blueberry Hill follows the compelling tale of two prisoners who share a prison cell.
Regarded as one of Ireland’s greatest authors and the current Laureate of Irish fiction, Sebastian Barr’s novels have both been won or been nominated for the MAN Booker Prize and the Irish Book Awards. On Blueberry Hill is expected to be in high demand so purchase your tickets now!
Locked away in the same room for twenty years, PJ (David Ganly) and Christy (Niall Buggy) are destined to share their lives together. Although neither prisoner takes to each other at first, they reminisce about the events that have led to their imprisonment and reflect on the possibility of life outside the walls of the prison cell...
On Blueberry Hill ticket prices range from £15 to £65. Only opening in 2004, Trafalga Studios is an exciting new venue and is split into studio 1 and studio 2 which are both flexible performance spaces. Trafalga Studio 1 has a capacity of 380 seats and as a flexible auditorium, the theatre is not divided into different sections. However, there are some boxes to the sides of the theatre.
However, if you are looking for premium seating, these can be found in the mid-centre of the theatre- in rows D-G. There are also slightly cheaper but excellent seats just behind and in front of these rows.
If you are looking for cheaper tickets, then these can be found right at the back of theatre since these seats are furthest from the stage. Given that Trafalgar Studio 1 is a relatively small auditorium, these seats still provide excellent views of the stage.
