Regarded as one of the hottest British comedians of the minute, Romesh Ranganthan has made a name for himself in the comedy world with his natural stage presence, sarcasm and sharp punch-lines.
While Rangathan has received a hugely positive reception from his national and international stand up tours, such as Irrational, he is also known for his television appearances. Starring in Showtime’s highly acclaimed doc-comedy Just Another Immigrant, he is particularly recognised for the BAFTA nominated BBC series Asian Provocateur, where he traveled to Sri Lanka to learn about his parents’ country. He has also guested on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and made appearances on The Late Late Show with James Corden, as well as several other panel shows such as It’s Not Rocket Science and The Apprentice: You’re Fired.
In 2018, he released the hilariously irreverent autobiography ‘Straight Outta Crawley: Memoirs of a Distinctly Average Human, in which he recounts how his rise to stardom. In 2013, he was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2013 Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
